THE WEATHER. (Special). Wellington, Jan. 29. Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers most of the Dominion; a trough is expected to cross the South Island from the west during Wednesday. Forecast, to 5 p.m. Wednesday: Increasing north-west winds, becoming strong in exposed positions; weather cloudy 1o overcast, with some scattered rain or drizzle developing late to-morrow; temperatures, mild.
