ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION AT MARTON.

The largest crowd for many months waited al Marton Junction to welcome returning servicemen, and half an hour before the train was due to arrive streams ot cars were going down Station Road. When the train arrived, about 80 cars were parked near the station and an officer of the Traffic Department was present to direct traffic. As the train drew in, a scene which has been repeated many times in the past two or three years was enacted, as the men were reunited with their families, and many saw their children for the first time.

About 32 district men were on the train, although some were met at Greatford, and others were travelling to stations a few miles past Marton. Those who left the train at Marton, and who had no alternative means of transport, were taken to their homes by members ot the Marton Sub-centre Red Cross Transport, section.
