RISING IN HAITI
PRESIDENT AND CABINET RESIGN New York, Jan. 13. The President of Haiti, M. Elie Lescot, and his Cabinet, resigned following a swift uprising in which at least six persons were killed, says the Associated Press correspondent at Port au Prince.
A military junta headed by Colonel Frank Lavaud took over the Government. Five thousand troops joined in the uprising.
