ST. ALBAN’S PREPARATORY SCHOOL

THE PRIZE-GIVING. There was a large gathering of parents and fr.ends at the Glasgow St. Hall for the prize-giving of St. Alban s Preparatory School. The sewing and handwork done by the senior pupils included housecoats, frocks, aprons, petticoats, bloomers, the housecoats being particularly attractive and well made. The display of hand-work by the primer children was also much admired, and included novel ideas for Christmas decorations. A demonstration of physical exercises by the primers and Standards I and 11, and of folk-dancing by the senior pupils followed by a short programme of sing ng, the tone, especially of the older pupils, being excellent. Miss Craig gave a brief account of the year’s activities, after which M.ss Blyth, a visitor from England, addressed the children before presenting the prizes.
