RECOVERY OF LOU ROSA
Topweight in the Auckland Cup with 9 3 Lou Rosa, who broke a blood vessel’ and fell while contesting the Hamilton Handicap at Te Rapa on December 8, and who also had his hind legs cut about as a result of the fall, is reported from Te Aroha to have made a good recovery. It was at first thought that the mishap would compel his withdrawal from the Cup, but a different view is now taken, and the gallant old son of Foxbridge and Lucy Rose is expected to go to the starting post—the sixth occasion in this important race.
