WOOL AUCTIONED IN UNITED STATES
Recd. 9 p.m. New York, Dec. 19. More than two million pounds of foreign wool was auctioned in two hours by the Office Surplus Property, of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. Current shortages in liner grades were reflected in the heavy bidding for these types. A total of 54(>,5261b5. of greasy New Zealand sold at an average of 92 cents above the upset price, 425,2981b5. of scoured New Zealand sold at an average of 13 cents above the upset.
