WANGANUI CRICKETER
SELECTED TO PRACTICE BY WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION An old boy of the Wanganui Collegiate School, H. B. Cave, has been selected by the Wellington Cri. ket Association to practice for representative fixtures. Cave, who is a medium-fast bowler, first appeared in Wanganui senior cricket while a pupil at the Collegiate School, and represented Wanganui while stilt at school. He served in the R.N.Z.A.F., and while stationed al Nelson was selected to practice for a South Inland eleven, but Air Force duties prevented him from playing. Recently demobilised, Cave has been in good form this season, his best bowling performances to date being eight lor 31 against United Old Boys, five for 41 against Marlst and five for 60 against Technical College. He is also high in the batting averages. Three other country players selected by the Wellington association for practice are A. M. Matheson and S. Be ts (Taranaki) and Hoar (Wairarapa). Wellington players selected for practice are: J. Ell, Morgan, J. Duffy, S. G. Rowe, Tindill, Crawford, Hatch, Barber, Burnette, F. H. L. Mooney, Kemp, Buchan, Wilson, Parkin, Beard, Brian S.
