At the V.A.T.C. meeting yesterday at Caulfield results included:— Eclipse Stakes.—Don Pedro 8.0 (Preston) 1, Tranquil Star 8.13 (Hartbey) 2, Logical 7.5 (McCloud) 3. Eight started. One and a-quarter lengths; length. Time, 2.301. The greatest stake-winning mare in Australia and New Zealand. Tranquil Star added £5OO. the sect ;:i prize, to her total, enabling her to pass such Seat gallopers as Spearfelt. Tiie awk and Trivalve in the list of Australian stake-winners. Tranquil Star has now won £28,444 in nrize money.
