FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE
REMAND TO NEW PLYMOUTH When he appeared on remand in the Magistrate's Court, Wanganui, yesterday, Cheesman Rata, motor driver, aged 23. charged that with intent to defraud lie obtained £5 from Roy Thomas Tabrun by false pretences. was remanded to appear at New Plymouth on Tuesday next. Detective-Sergeant J. K. Robertson applied for the remand and Mr. A. D. Brodie appeared for accused. Mr. J. H. Salmon. S.M., renewed bail in accused's own recognisance of £lOO. The offence was alleged to have been committed at New Plymouth on November 15, last.
