THREE VALUABLE CARGOES LEAVE OTAGO (P.A.) Dunedin. Nov. 23. Rabbit skins to the value of at least £500,000 were taken from the Port of Otago by the American vessel Kenneth McKay, which sailed for New York on Thursday night. The number of bains in the shipment was approximately 13.000. and their value of half-a-million pounds was a record for the port, although lhe total quantity of bales has been exceeded in previous single shipments made when prices were lower. The Kenneth McKay also had on board approximately 170 bales of opossum skins, representing a total value o" about £70.000. Another valuable shipment which left the port recently was a cargo of wool, wh’ch was taken bv th*-* Antar Sim took what, is said to h" 11m largest shipment of wool that has gone forward since the outbreak of war.
