CHURCH ATTENDANCES
I I Sir, —“Disciple” and others appear I u to be rather concerned and wonaeringl r why in these days the churches are so! r poorly attended. Surely the reason is I t not tar to seek. We lind the answer < in the good old Book, for it says that f “If a house be divided against itself it i cannot stand,” also it tells us that in these last days "men shall be lovers of \ pleasure rather than lovers of God.” Not only have three of the largest \ churches opened their doors to danc- s ing but, frequenting the picture shows, the card rooms, the dance halls, one ( may see not only church members, but *’ Sunday school superintendents, teach- , ers and even ministers themselves. r What of the admonition “Love not the ‘ world neither the things that are in r the world, if any man love the world, , the love of the Father is not in him.” What about denying ourselves for the 1 sake of our weaker breathren? Truly, r we are living in perilous times arid; ’ methinks that many of us will be ■' judged as unfaithful stewards when; the Son of Man shall come in theP [Glory of His Father and shall reward! (every man according to his works.— I am, etc., ANOTHER DISCIPLE
