TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD

MEETING AT CASTLECLIFF The monthly meeting of the guild was held in the Town Hall, Castlecliff, on Tuesday 13th. when Mrs. Paul presided. The roll call was “what the guild has meant to me.” Competitions resulted as follows: “Best flower in my garden,” Mrs. Paul 1, and 2; crocheted coat hanger, Mrs. Harwood 1 Mrs. Anthony 2; silk covered coat hanger, Mrs. Knox 1, Mrs. Paul 2. Mrs. Norman contributed two pianoforte solos, and vocal trios were sung by Mesdames Cameron, Harwood and Norman, all receiving shoulder sprays. A guessing competition was won by* Mrs. Cameron with Mrs. Paul 2. Afternoon tea was served.
