SURPLUS U.S. EQUIPMENT IN NEW ZEALAND
SENIOR AMERICAN OFFICER VISITING DOMINION (P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 21. A senior United Slates officer who served with distinction in Italy and France, Brigadier-General F. B. Butler, arrived from Sydney by flyingboat. He was mot by the United States military attache, Colonel 11. A. Meyer, and the United States Air attache, Major R. A. Toole, both of Wellington.
Brigadier-General Butler said hk visit, was in connection with the disposal of surplus United Slates equipment, other than that held on LendLease, remaining in New Zealand There was little equipment under this heading, and ho would therefore spend little time in Now Zealand.
