Neither the Labour Partv r.or lhe Liberal Pa»ty is likely to take actioi to unseat Mr. Brendan Bracken, who yesterday took his seat in the House of Commons, says the Press Association’s pohtical correspondent. The trouble which led the Labour Party to call for reports on Ihe Bournemouth by-election apparently arose from a cocktail party given al in honour of Mr. Bracken. Some thought..! his could be theoretically constructed as “treating,” which is forh’dden by election law. The parties generally regard any unseating efforts as costing more than they are worth.
