FEILDING SALE
(P.A.) Feilding, Nov. 16. An improvement was shown in the tone of the stock sale to-day at Feilding, and all good quality stock sola fairly well. Fat sheep were still below the quotations of recent past sales, but where condition was right there was fair competition. A few pens of store sheep changed hands at satisfactory figures, but not a great deal were offering in this section. Station cattle improved in value particularly grown cattle in good forward order. Yearlings of both sexes were on the poor side, and made no attraction to purchasers. Fat cattle were in short supply, and only medium-weight lines were available. Quotations were as follows: Fat Sheep.—Prime hoggets, 31s 4d to 32s 4d; medium prime, 26s Id, 30s 4d; light, 23s 4d, 25s lOd; prime wethers, 38s 4d: medium prime, 32s 6d; light, 27s 10d to 38s 4d; prime ewes, 23s to 25s 10d; second grade, 18s to 21s lOd; light and unfinished 14s lOd to 17s 6d; prime black face. 25s lOd; others, 20s to 25s 4d; prim-, maiden ewes, 29s lOd to 36s lOd. I Store Sheep.—Good 2-tooth wethers, i 26s 3d to 27s 9d; smaller, 22s 6d to 124 s 8d; best 2-tooth ewes, 35s 9d to 37s 2d; fair, 27s 6d; small, 23s to 25s 9d; 2-tooth black face hoggets, good, 23s lOd to 24s 8d; small. 19s to 19s 6d.
