RETURNED SERVICES GOLF TOURNEY
BIG EVENT FOR TO-DAY There has been a great deal of interest aroused in the annual golf tournament promoted for returned servicemen in Wanganui. It is to take place on Belmont links to-day. Excellent entries have beers received, and the fact that it is the first postwar event of its kind here it should go with a swing. A committee, on which the 2nd N.Z.E.F. is liberally represented, has every detail well in hand and a record attendance is expected. These tournaments afford not only an opportunity for further golf, they are very much in the nature of reunions, in which men. of both wars will be able to meet again ana revive old memories. Those who have entered have been drawn from a wide district and they look forward to meeting one another at. s\ich a time and under such happy circumstances.
