Record acceptances were received for the Banks Peninsula Racing Club’s meeting, to be held at. the Motukarara course to-day, providing South Island horses with a final full-dress rehearsal for the New Zealand Cup meeting next Saturday. It is likely that divisions will be required in several events, including one of the two trotting races on the programme. Win-and-place betting will be operated. Some New Zealand Cup candidates are engaged in the Buchanan Memorial and a number of sprinters engaged in the Stewards’ Handicap will be seen in action in the Le Bons Handicap.
