PROTEST A resolution has been forwarded from the Wanganui branch of the Returned Services' Association to headquarters objecting to garrison troops for Japan being sent from Second N.Z.E.F. in Italy while there are still in New Zealand tens of thousands of grade 1 men retained on what wore then essential war industries, but the need for which no longer exists. While it is agreed that the full force for Japan could not be drawn from those mon because of their lack of training, nevertheless their being called would release some thousands who have already bad their share of service in the Middle East.
