ULTIMATE SOCIALISM
LABOUR’S NEXT ELECTION POLICY (P.A.) . Wellington, Nov. 14 A resolution that the next general election be fought on the party’s policy of ultimate socialism, was adopted at the annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party today. The party affirmed its determination not to be associated with the Communist Party. A publicity resolution was adopted in which the party disclaimed all responsibility for advertisements and propaganda issued by the Communist Party. The conference adopted a proposal that false and misleading anti-Govern-ment propaganda be effectively counteracted, and that consideration be given to more extensive use of radio in this regard. The institution of a Sta'e lottery and the appointment of a Royal Commission to conduct complete investigation of the gaming laws of New Zealand were urged upon the Government.
