NO WORK ON WHARF IN AUCKLAND

ALL DAY STOP WORK MEETING (P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 14. i No work was done on the Auckland waterfront to-day. members of the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union being engaged a' a stop-work meeting which hasted throughout the day. Operations were resunped when the night shift started work at 11 p.m. Normally, the union is allowed one stop-work meeting of two hours each month. The mating to-dav started at 8 a.m.. and did not finish until just before 5 p.m. It was stated that special business had to be discussed. Th? The first intimation that the meeting would not finish within two hours was given shortly before 10 a.m. The port was fnirlv full, there being a number of overseas ships at the wharves.
