ORGANISATION OF FARMERS
ONE BODY NEEDED (P.A.) Whangarei. Nov. 12. The need for a sin.gle organisation to represent the Dominion primary producers, such organisation to provide for sectional representation along the lines suggested by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand, was recognised in a motion carried at a special meeting of the Northland Dairv Conference, held in Whangarei to-day. The meeting passed a resolution favouring the continuance of the classification of the dairy industry as essential for manpower during the flush of the present season. At the same time the opinion was expressed that the controls and restrictions in the Dominion should be removed as soon as possible, and, as an indication of. good faith, the meeting passed a resolution intimating that protection was not desired after March 31. It was decided to ask the National Dairy Association to set up a master agency to handle British-made machinery, including tractors and every type of cultivators and to allot subagencies to all dairy companies.
