WALKING ON LEFT OF ROAD AT NIGHT
DANGER STRESSED BY A GRAND JURY (P.A.) Gisborne, Nov. 13. A presentment emphasising the danger of people walking on the left hand side of the road was made by a Grand Jury in the Supreme Court to ihe Chief Justice, on returning no bill against George Philip White, on charges o£ negligent driving. His Honour said he was at a loss to understand the grounds on which an accusation of negligence rested, as the night was dark and people wearing dark clothes. After receiving the Grand Jury’s finding the Judge said they apparently reached the same conclusion as him-' self.
