Mr. F. W. Pitts, of Morrinsville, has been appointed manager ol the Paerata factory of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company. He will be succeeded at Morrinsville by Mr. E. DMissen. of Te Awamutu.

Mr. T. A. Magan, manager of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's cheese factory at Gordonton, has resigned and has been succeeded by Mr. A. Howarth, of Matatoki. Mr. D. Baird, of Matamata, has been appointed to the managership of the Matatoki factory. Commodore G.. T. Faulkner, D.S.C., the first naval member of the New Zealand Naval Board and chief of the naval staff, left for Australia by the Newfoundland on Saturday for consultation with the Commander-in-Chief of the British Pacific Fleet and the Australian Commonwealth Naval Board. He will return to New Zealand on November 27 in Vice-Admiral Vian's flagship, Indefatigable.—P.A.
