GOLF ACTIVITIES
RETURNED SERVICES TO HOLD TOURNAMENT Keen interest has been aroused among returned servicemen in the Returned Services’ golf tournament, which is to be staged by the Wanganui R.S.A. at the Belmont links on Saturday, November 17. All returned servicemen, whether members of the R.S.A. or not, are invited to attend, mustering at Belmont at 12.30 hours on the date indicated in routine orders. Entries, as advertised, will close next Wednesday. CASTLECLIFF GOLF CLUB In the semi-finals of the Smith Cup, to be played at the Castlecliff links during the week-end, Miss Brock will play Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Barber will play Mrs. La Pouple. A medal match will also be played by other members of the Castlecliff Ladies’ Golf Club, the draw being:—Mrs. Bousfield v. Mrs. D. Brown; Mrs. Sanko v. Mrs Hogg; Mrs. Atchison v. Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Cooke v. Mrs. Smith: Mrs. E. Brown v. Mrs. Shepherd; Miss Humphries v. Mrs. Clarke.
