AN OLD SHOW MEDAL
An interesting trophy was brought to the "Chronicle” yesterday on the occasion of the Wanganui Show. It is the oldest known trophy medal used by the Wanganui A. and P. Association, and is in the possession of Mr. A. N. McLeod, “Dunvegan,” Okoia. It is more than 70 years old, and was won by Mr. McLeod’s father, the late Mr. Gregor McLeod, in 18.73. The medal, of silver, is set in a wreath of leaves, and suitably engraved. li. was awarded to the best foal got by the Aramoho Stud Company's horse "Lofty” m the season 1813, and was won by Mr. McLeod's “Young Lofty.”
