BAPTIST WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION
The November meeting of the Ingestre Street branch of the B.W.M.U. was held on Tuesday, when Miss G. Clemance presided and led the devotions. The speaker was Mrs. H. Jamieson who took as her subject “Missionary work amongst the Indian girls in Suva.” Mrs. Jamieson spoke with a practical knowledge of her subject as for some years she was on the staff of a Methodist mission school for Indian girls. Mrs. F. Chc-sswas was welcomed into membership.
A greeting was received from the Dominion secretary, who is at. present attending the annual meetings during assembly in Dunedin.
Mrs. E. Nicholls closed the meeting with prayer.
