TWILIGHT MEETING The most successful twilight meeting of the present season conducted by the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club was held on Cook’s Gardens last night. There was a large representation from the Technical College and competition was keen in all events. Results were:— 120 Yards Handicap: H. Brewer (101 1. B. Jones (10) 2, G. Munro (10) 3. Time. 12 2-ssec. One Mile Handicap: D. O’Loughlin (40) 1, K. Fyfe (80) 2 Les Head (50) 3. Time. 4min. 58 l-ssec. 75 Yards (secondary schools): F. McKean 1, G. Munro 2, H. Brewer 3. Time, 8 2-ssec. 75 Yards Girls: E. Gray 1, V. Robson 2, L. Couchman 3. 75 Yards Boys: W. Lewis 1, R. Gregor 2, C. Slight 3. FIELD EVENTS High Jump (senior): A. Webby, 4ft. 10in., 1; Les Head and Len Head, 4ft. 7in., equal 2. In the junior section, J. P. Davies recorded sft lin CYCLING EVENTS Half-mile: A. Higgs (GO) 1 F. Clinton (scr.) 2, H. Hodson (60) 3. Time, 63sec. Three-mile Handicap: G. Pidwell (scr.) 1, R. Hessey (scr.) 2. Time, 7 min. 21sec. li-miles Scratch: F. Clinton 1. G. Pidwell 2, R. Hessey 3. Time, 3min. 45sec.
