WANGANUI JUNIOR CHAMBER ANNUAL MEETING Presided over by Mr. B. E. A. Williams, the annual meeting of the Wanganui Jumor Chamber of Commerce was held last night. There was an attendance of 40 members. The election of o/licers resulted:— President, Mr. B. E. A. Williams; vice-pres.dent, Mr. V. R. Foster; secretary, Mr. F. H. Donaldson; executive committee, Messrs. R. K. Bones, D. Sherriff, N. Loren tzen, A. Furrie, L. Mumford, D. Hatrick, K. Hayhow, D. McNeil, J. Goodwin, A. Tong, D. Ross and R. Lafi'an. Appreciation of the co-operation given by the senior chamber was expressed in the annual report. At the pegmning of the year the membership was 35, but this had increased to 97. It was hoped, added the report, that this number would be increased in the coming year. The projects committee carried through a very successful year, the chief efforts being the country school, children’s visit, and the entertaining of the Polish children. The sponsoring of a queen in the carnival for patriotic purposes was another tine effort on the part of the projects committees, states the report. Thanks is expressed to the committee responsible for arranging the fortnighty luncheons. The average attendance was 35. The retiring president, Mr. T. N. Dickson, thanked all executive members for the splendid, support and cooperation given him m the past year.
