GOLF ACTIVITIES
VETERANS’ TOURNAMENT Now that hostilities have ceased and the petrol position has been eased, it has been decided to hold a veterans' tournament at Belmont this year. As in the past the tournament will be a two-day affair and the dates fixed are Thursday and Friday, November 29 and 30. , The Gordon-Harrison Cun will be competed for over two rounds stroke play, each 15 holes, holes four, five, and six being eliminated. In addition there will be stroke bogey and fourball matches. Entries close with the secretary Wanganui Golf Club, Mr. F. J. Hill, on Monday. November 26. CASTLECLIFF CLUB The main competition at the Castlecliff Club during the week-end will be a Stableford points match. Players will arrange their own partners and opponents.
