SOCIAL SECURITY BILL PASSED (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Nov. 7 The House of Representatives is to debate the Bank of New Zealand Bill to-morrow (Thursday) night. Having made that decision tonight, the House went into Committee on the Social Security Amendment Bill, giving members an opportunity to draw Ministerial attention to a number of apparent anomalies, or cases of hardship arising from the principal Act, or likely to arise from the present Bill. The Bill was put through its re. maining stages and passed. Mr. E. VV. Doidge (Opp.—Tauranga): Isn’t anyone going to sing “The Red Flag”'.’ Mr. A. G. Osborne (Govt.—Onehunga): You don’t like it, do you? Government members applauded Ihe passing of the Bill.
