OBITUARY

BRIGADIER FALLA (P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 6. The death occurred yesterday of Brigadier N. S. Falla aboard the liner Port Phillip when en route from London to Wellington. The late Brigadier Falla was chairmail and director of the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand and chairman of Union Airways, Wellington. He was born in Westport in 1883. He served with the N.Z.F.A. on Gallipoli, in Egypt and France during 1914-18, and was awarded the C.M.G. and D. 5.0., besides being mentioned in dispatches. He was an honorary A.D.C. to the Governor-General in 1925-30. He went overseas as brigadier commanding N.Z.E.F. base in 1940.
