MAN BELIEVED DROWNED

(P.A.) Dunedin, Nov. 8. Mr. Robert Carruthers, ajted 67, a resident of Tokoitl, near Milton. has been missing from his home since Monday morning, and it Is feared that he has been drowned. • Mr. Carruthers left his home at 9 o’clock to go fishing in the Toko River, and, as he had not returned in the evening, anxiety was felt for his safety, as he had been subject to heart attacks for some thne. A search party was organised and the missing man’s Ashing rod and launch were round at the Cliffs at 6.30 pjn. Dragging operations were carried on throughout to-day, but without success.
