YEARLING SALES BOOM IN BRITAIN
A Press Association cablegram from London stales that a record was created at the Newmarket where 537,030 guineas changed i rands in four days. The previous record was 400,000 guineas at Doncaster in 1928. Last week 318 lots were sold averaging 1688 guineas, which is a record for Britain, and is believed to be the highest in the world. The most satisfactory feature of the sale was that a quarter of the money expended same from abroad.
