RESTORED RACING DAYS

WANGANUI GETS A PERMIT (P.A.) Wellington, Sept. 21. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s application to race on Saturday. June 1. as well as on Monday, June 3, 1946 (King’s Day) has been granted by the executive sub-committee of ihe N.Z. Racing Conference, this being one of the 45 racing permits recently restored by the War Cabinet. Permits have also been granted to th? Ashhurst Racing Club. Feilding Jockey Club, Manawatu Hunt Club, Manawatu Racing Club and Rangitikei Hunt Club. The dates announced are as follow :

Auckland District.—Auckland Racing Club January 26; Avondale Jockey Club March 4; Bay of Plenty Racing Club March 30; Franklin Racing Club June 15; Ohinemuri Jockey Club May 11; Rotorua Racing Club April 20; Te Aroha Jockey Club, January 19; Waikato Racing Club, December 8; Waipa Racing Club June 22; Whangarei Racing Club October 27. Canterbury District.
