Mr. Noel Neilson, of Long Acre, has boon appointed a member of the Wanganui Rabbit Board, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. J. Farley,’ Makirikifi. Major E. F. Laws, of Wanganui, U to be the speaker at the next meeting of the Wanganui Garrison Officers’ Club. Major Laws is on the staff of Army Headquarters. Following 1 period of service in the field, he has hold lor some time a: taff appointment in the Army Educational and Rehabilitation Services in the Middle East, and has made a special investigation into the postwar problems of rehabilitation. Mr. J. Farley, Makirik'iri, whose death occurred recently, was a member of the Wanganui Rabbit Board. When the board met yesterday the chairman, Mr A. H. Collins said Mr. Farley’s death had come as a shock to all who knew him. The late Mr. Farley had been well known In the Mangamahu and Makirikiri districts and he would be particularly missed by the rifle clubs. Mr. L. A. Mackintosh also spoke in tribute to the late Mr. Farley. A letter of sympathy is to be sent to his relatives.
