WANGANUI RABBIT BOARD
4867 DESTROYED IN LAST FIVE MONTHS The chairman, Mr. A. H. Collins, presided over a meeting of the Wanganui Rabbit Board yesterday. Other members present were Messrs. D. A. Howard, L. A. Mackintosh and rhe secretary, Mr. S. L. Orr. An apology was received from Mr. W. Craig. The secretary tabled a report showing that of £217 16s 7d rates outstanding at March 31, 1945, this had now been reduced to £57 5s 4d, the sum of £l6O 11s 3d having been c Ale Jed to date. The rabbiters reports revealed that during the past live months 4867 rabbits had been destroyed by the board’s four rabbiters, two of whom had unly been operating for two months. Members considered that this was quite satisfactory.
