VISITORS TO AIRCRAFT CARRIER (P - A .) Auckland, Sept. 10 A few of the 20,000 Aucklanders who visited the merchant ship-air-craft carrier Empire Lagan, at the Western Wharf during the week-end i.-cre mean enough to steal chocolate, beef extract, biscuits and tinned mill: from . the ship's lifeboats. The too., was in watertight tins which could ue opened with a key attached to tin side. When an inspeclion was made it was found that a number of tins iiad been opened and the contents taken. A quantity of liren and glasses were also unlawfully removed. All day to-day there were a stream of visitors to the ship.
