FEILDING SALE

(P.A.) Feilding, Sept. 7. At the stock sale to-day there were unusually heavy yardings of fat sheep and store sheep, for which prices were | appreciably less than last week. Prices 'for fat sheep Were less than last [week's high level by 7s 6d a head. Some vendors refused to accept the bids offered and several lines were passed in. There was a fair entry of ewe and wether hoggets for which the market was not bright. A medium offering of run cattle sold at fair prices. There was a heavy entry of dairy cattle, for which the market prices were again good with a keen demand for springing heifers. Only medium prices were offered for a small yarding of fat cattle. Range of prices:— Fat Sheep.—Wethers: Prime to 42s lOd good to 39s lOd, medium to 37s lOd. Hoggets: Prime 36s 4d, good to 34s lOd, fair to 33s 7d. Maiden ewes: Prime to 395, good to 335, fair from 31s 7d. Black faces: Prime to 325. Stores.— Ewe hoggets, to 28s 2d; wether hoggets, to 27s 6d. Dairy Stock. —Springing heifers, to £l4; weaner heifers, to £7 17s 6d. Run Cattle.—P.A- bullocks, £ll 10s to £l2 16s; cows. £8 to £9; yearling steers, £5 8s to £6 ss; weaner heifers, to £3 10s; Hereford cows, to £8 16s; steers, to £7 10s. Fat Cattle.—Prime heifers, £l2 15s; medium, prime bullocks, to £l7 2s 6d.
