MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED

GOOD STANDARD SET BY WOMEN IN W.D.M.R.A. Excellent entries were received by the W.D.M.R.A. for the Annual District Championship meeting, which was held at Westmere range on Thursday, August 30, and Saturday, September 1. The shoot ng was of the usual standard and three possibles were scored by var ous contestants, these being Mrs. E. Hughes. Miss Y. Anderson and R. J. Harrison.

A high standard was set by the women contestants and in the senior open champio ship Miss Anderson was second to R. J. Harrison, championship winner, and Mrs. W. Howard was fourth, whilst Mrs. E. Hughes was successful in winning the Jun.or Championship. The prize winners in each match were Seniors. Wanj-anui District Championships.— R. J. Harrison 393, Miss \. Anderson 392, E. S. Hughes 389.
