MEASURESIN BENGAL GLOOMY CROP PROSPECTS Recd. 6 p.m. London, Sept. 5. Immediate measures are necessary to avert another famine in Bengal, where the food situation is causing serious anxiety, said Dr. Pramathanah Banerjea, leader of the Nationalist Party, in a cable to Lord Pcthick Lawrence, Secretary for India.
