ALAN DEERE RETURNING TO WANGANUI
(Special Correspondent—N.Z.P.A.) Recd. 10.50 p.m. London, Sept. 6. Wing-Commander Alan Deere, of Wanganui, celebrated New Zealand fighter pilot, expects to arrive Ln New Zealand early in October on a month’s leave. Deere was recently offered a permanent commission in the R.A.F., but his future plans are understood to be indefinite. He is at present commanding an airfield near Braintree, Essex.
