[JUBLIC Notice is hereby given that A it is the intention of the Waimarino County Council at its meeting' to be held on Saturday, September 8, 1945, in the Council Chambers, Seddon Street, Raetihi, at the hour of 10.30 o'clock a.m. to make and levy General Rates under the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1925." and sections 120/121 of “The Counties Act, 1920," upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property as appearing upon the Valuation Rolls for the several Ridings constituting the County of Waimarino to the amounts following respectively:— Ohakune Riding. 1/- in the £. Huikumu Riding, 1/01 in the £. Karioi Riding. 1/- in the £. Manganui Riding, 1/41 in the £. Parapara Riding, 9d. in the £. Ruatiti Riding, 1/9 in the £. Also that it is the intention of the said Council at the same time and place to make and levy a Hospital Rate under the provisions of "The Rating Act, 1925, and Section 52 of "The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926. of seven-eighths (Jd.) of a penny in the £ upon the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property in the County of Waimarino as aforesaid. Also that it is the intention of th* said Council at the same time and place to make and levy a Lighting Rate of 1/- in the £ upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the area originally covered by the Rangataua Town District as appearing upon the Valuation Roll in force of the said district. And notice is also hereby given that so much as is required of the Conversion Loan Rate. Consolidated Special Rate, Merged area special rate and the Rangataua Township Streets Special Rate as is required to meet the annual charges on the respective loans are now due and payable to the Collector of Rates. County Office, Raetihi, on the date fyted in that behalf for payment. All the above rates are. in accordance with the provisions of Section 5 (1) of “The Valuation of Land Amendment Act, 1933." struck on 75% of the original valuation. Also a Harbour Rate of 3d. in the £ upon the rateable (Capital) Value of all rateable property in the area set out In the schedule to the Wanganui Harbour District Empowering Act, 1913, that lies within the boundaries of the County of Waimarino. Each of the above mentioned rates shall be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1945. and ending on March 31. 1946. and shall become due and* payable in one sum to the Collector of Rates at the County Office. Seddon Street, Raetihi, on the 14th day of September. 1945.
