TRANS-TASMAN AIR TERMINAL

WHERE IS IT TO BE? QUESTION RAISED IN HOUSE. (P.A.) Parliament feldgs.. Aug. 23. In the House of Representatives-this afternoon Mf. J. Hodgens (Gtvt.. Palmerston North) asked whether the Prime Minister would give consideration to the claims ot Ohakeu and Milson as terminals for the future trans-Tasman air service, before committing the country to the Rongota* (Wellington) proposal. Mr. Fraser, in reply, said he could not predict what developments in air services across the Tasman would he, so the matter wag constantly under consideration and review. He added that there was also a good aerodrome at Whenuapai (Auckland), and the question of the best distribution centres, from which smaller planes could carry passengers, would have to be taken into consideration. It was absolutely essential that a full examination, in the light of modern developments should be made into the use of aerodromes when post-war civil aviation was under review.
