L. Duigan, chairman of the Colin Horsley fund. “On May 7 I had a wonderful concert. in Manchester with the Halle Orchestra under Barbirolli—one of the World's best conductors. There was an audience of 7000. I have been invited there again for next season. "Yesterday I played another concert at Hastings with George Weldon, who is tile conductor of the Birmingham Orchestra, and I am also invited there next season (it begins September). “Recently I have given recitals in Liverpool, 'Leicester, Newcastle, Chichester, Horsham and Margate, and I am booked lor Manchester, Glasgow, Sunderland, Kendall and the BBC recitals—very exciting."
