THE RUSSIAN FRONT Reed. 6 p.m. Rugby, May 27. A Russian communique to-night again records j ■ substantial change. “Thirty eneru. planes were shot down yesterday,’ it says. The Moscow radio states Russian torpedo-oarrying planes last night, attacked enemy transports in the Gulf of Riga and sank two largo one. In Gulf of Finland two enemy transports of 7000 tons were sunk. Yesterday 70 enemy pianos attempted to raid a target in lhe Gulf of Finland. .Soviet fighters dispersed the raiders, who forced to drop their bombs in Ihe sea. In combat, 20 enemy planes were destroyed. Two Soviet planes are missing 8.0.W.
