WANGANUI COUNTY ELECTIONS IN THREE RIDINGS TWO COUNCILORS LOSE THEIR SEATS. There were three elections in the Wanganui County. Two councillors lost their seats, Mr. A. W. Rice (Kau katea) and Mr. C. J. Rhodes (Mangamahu). In the Mangamahu Riding Mr. E. T. Hine topped the poll, the other successful candidates . being Messrs. T. Mitchell and A. H. Collins, both sitting councillors. A close contest in the Purua Riding resulted in Mr. R. W. Stewart (sitting councillor) heading the poll, with a majority of four votes over Mr. L. A. Keilick. Mr. N. Neilson was the successful candidate in the Kaukatea Riding, securing a majority of 19 over Mr. W. R. Harding, with the sitting councillor Mr. A. W. Rice, well down. Results: — MANGAMAHU RIDING. E.
