INTERPRETATION SOUGHT
COURT ORDER REGARDINC WILL Decision was reserved by Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court, Wanganui, yesterday, after hearing submissions in the case where William Charles Fairhall Treadwell, solicitor, of Wanganui, acting as executor of the Estate of J. G. Olson, deceased, sought an interpretation of a previous order made by the Court concerning the will of the late Mrs. Lila Olson. The question was asked whether money awarded should carry interest. Mr. B. C. Haggitt appeared for plaintiff, and defendant was the Public Trustee, for whom Mr. H. M. Keesing appeared. The matter was brought by an originating summons, and the plaintiff asked for an order detemining the following question: “Whether or not interest at the rate of six per cent, per annum is payable on the sum of £6OO (or as much thereof remained from time to time unpaid) from November 21, 1930, down to the date of final payment, such sum of £6OO being ordered to be naid by defendant to James George Olson, retired engineer (now deceased), as a lump sum, payment in terms of Ihe Family Protection 'Act, 1908, by an order of the Supreme Court, Wanganui, dated November 2. 1930.”
