TEAM MANAGERS FOR SATURDAY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS A The appointments of Mr. H. Whiting as manager of the Wanganui A team for next Saturday, and Mr. A. Glengarry as manager of the B team, were announced at last nign meeting of the Management Coin....,tee of the Wanganui Rugby Union. The Taranaki Rugby Union wrote confirming its match with Wanganui at Wanganui on Monday, June 5 (King’s Day). It was resolved to charge Is 6d at the gate and 6d for the stand, reservations to be 6d extra. It was also hoped to have a band in attendance that day. The New Zealand Rugby Union notified that it had agreed to the reinstatement of E. Chase from the League code. An application for the reinstatement of Rangi Chase was received from the Taihape Union and this was left in the hands of the chairman to approach the authorities concerned. Tentative dates for matches for the J. A. Ward Memorial Shield were set down as follow: Ohakea Air Force, August 5; Waiouru, August 19; Featherston, August 26. The meeting was attended by Mr. J. Moye (chairman), Rev. Father Mannix, and Messrs. C. Stewart, A. Glengarry, A. Lockett, S. Ambrose, D. ‘ Buck, J. Gilmour, W. Cole, H. Kench, E. Barnett, A. Takarangi. RUGBY REFEREES SATURDAY’S ENGAGEMENTS The following referees have been appointed for the undermentioned Rugby matches on Saturday:— Wanganui A v. Taihape, Spriggens Park, 3 p.m. p Mr. G. Thrush; Wanganui B v. Maoris, Spriggens Park, 1.30 p.m., Mr. J. Voltz. Senior B: Tgch. College v. Waverley, Technical ground, 1.30 p.m., Mr. N. Reid; Kaierau v. Pirates, College ground, No. 3, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Le Compte. Tech. Old Boys and Collegiate School will play their engagement later. Third Grade.—Tech. v. Marist, Tech. Hostel ground, 1.30 p.m., Mr. J. Ross; Pirates v. Waverley, College ground, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Walton; Kaierau v. A.T.C., College ground No 2, 1.30 p.m.. Mr. L. Moyle. Fourth Grade—Tech.
