MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
LABOUR PARTY “TICKET” Asked last night if the full Labour Party “ticket” for the municipal elections had been selected. Mr R. P. Andrews, secretary of the Wanganui Labour Representation Committee, stated that there was still one more candidate to be chosen to complete the City Council “ticket.” Mrs. K. Gould has been added to the list of ten already announced, which included Mr. James Lockett, formerly a captain in the Railway Constructional Unit with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East. The Wanganui Hospital Board “ticket” has been completed by the addition of Mr. S. Barry’s name to those announced earlier, and Messrs. G. P. Hawkins, J. B. Cotterill, M.P., and H. Williams will be candidates for the Wanganui Harbour Board.
