Rugby. March 8. The War Office has announced appointments to army commands in Britain and a new chief of staff in India. Lieutenant-General Sir Edwin Morris is to be G.O.C. northern command, Vice-Lieutenant-General Sir T. R. East wood, recently appointed governor c.nc 4 . Commander in chief, Gibraltar. Lieutenant-General E. C. A. Schreiber is to be G.O.C. south-east command, Vice - Lieutenant - General Swayne. Major-General D. G. Watson is to be G.O.C. western command, Vice-Lieu-tenant-General Schreiber. Lieutenant-General J. G. Swayne is to be chief of staff, India.
